About us

Gigi Gusto Griglia takes its name seriously: gusto means flavour, passion, the joy of doing something properly. Griglia is the grill, and it's the beating heart of the building.
Everything on the menu passes over fire: steak Florentine, rare-breed cuts, lamb chops, handmade pasta and pizzette, all cooked with the passion of our culinary director, Sam Astley-Dean.

Alongside the grill sits Bar Eleganza. Meaning ‘elevated bar’, grand, beauty, elegant, timeless.
Manchester's first House of Negroni, with a library of wine, a full Negroni flight, and cocktails built for theatre.
It's a love letter to Italy's golden age — 1950s and 60s glamour, warm intimate rooms, old-school hospitality — brought to life inside one of Deansgate's most storied buildings.

The Story of Count Negroni
Legend has it that Count Camilio Negroni, a notorious playboy of italian aristocracy, asked the bartender to give his Americano a little more bite, so he swapped the soda for gin. The count's order became popular for regulars and the 'negroni' was born.

Musica
Musicality is as important as the food and drink. A curated program of DJs and performance. Warm energy, tinkling ivories, piano bar. Maestro.
At the centre of it all is a baby grand piano, with live musicians and DJs bringing the room to life night after night — because at Gigi, dinner is never just a meal.
